VILLAGE VISION CARE

Village Vision Care (VVC) is a community-based organization in Uganda dedicated to uplifting vulnerable children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. We address the root causes of poverty by providing access to education, healthcare support, livelihood skills, and community empowerment programs.

Our key initiatives include education support through school fees, scholastic materials, and mentorship to help children stay in school; vocational skills training for youth and young mothers in trades such as tailoring, carpentry, welding, motorcycle repair, and knitting; and community livelihood programs that promote savings groups (VSLAs) and economic resilience. We also provide care and support to elderly individuals without family, and promote environmental conservation to ensure sustainable community development.

Through our work, we have supported many young people to complete primary and secondary education, while equipping others with practical skills to become self-reliant. We are proud partners of the Children’s Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF), through which we secured over $350,000 to expand youth skilling and digitize community savings groups. In addition, we run a German language training program in partnership with the Goethe Institute, preparing youth for global opportunities and cultural exchange.
