Reading, write-up sessions and livelihood

by HARIRAJ CHARITABLE TRUST

Reading Session: Since November 19, 2022, we have been hosting an enriching online reading session, "Living, Learning, and Loving" (LLL), centered around Stephen Covey's influential work, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Every Friday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, team members gather virtually to explore the Gujarati translation, "Mahan Hadayona Saregamapadhani" by Sanjiv Shah.
These sessions serve as a dynamic platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions, share personal challenges, and reflect on their experiences. Together, we delve into the principles of effective living, maintain focus on our goals, and analyze various life problems. We also tackle profound topics such as mortality, all with the aim of enhancing our lives, alleviating worries, and unlocking our potential.
At the heart of our gatherings is the commitment to learning how to live authentically and from the heart.

Write-up Session: Since March 28, 2023, we have been starting conduct biweekly write-up sessions. During these meetings, participants share reports on their work, including training, success stories, case studies, articles, and other projects. Since March 2023, we have collectively contributed to creating 191 success stories, case studies, articles, and reports through this session. Through constructive feedback, corrections, and refining sentence structures, all participants have significantly improved their writing skills.
Together, these sessions create a supportive environment for personal growth and development, helping us all to live, learn, and love more effectively.

Livelihood: Over the past 31 years, Hariraj Charitable Trust has been at the forefront of empowering marginalized communities by implementing a range of livelihood programs designed to foster self-reliance and economic independence, particularly among women.
In 1995-96, we initiated our first major livelihood intervention by establishing an embroidery training center, which successfully empowered 150 women by providing them with the skills needed to become self-sufficient artisans. Building on this success, we expanded our efforts in 1997-98 by offering vocational training in sewing to 50 women, further enhancing their ability to generate income independently.
Recognizing the growing importance of digital skills, we also launched a computer training program in Amreli district, where 30 women gained essential computer literacy and advanced skills. This initiative enabled them to increase their employability and adapt to the demands of a modern workforce.
In 2014-15, with the support of NABARD, we organized Handicraft, Eyebrow, and Mehendi training sessions in the villages of Mota Ujala and Vadiya within the Kukavav block. These programs were instrumental in providing 60 members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with the skills needed to secure self-employment opportunities. Additionally, we conducted specialized training courses in Assistance Beauty Therapy and Test and Repair Technician roles, benefiting 105 individuals. These initiatives were supported by NABARD and NSHM under the NULM scheme, further extending our impact.
Through these and many other programs, Hariraj Charitable Trust has consistently demonstrated our commitment to improving livelihoods and empowering individuals with the tools they need to build better futures for themselves and their families. We look forward to continuing this mission with the support of future grants, which will enable us to expand our reach and impact even more lives.

General Funds: These funds are essential to cover our operational budgets and ensure the smooth execution of our programs. They will enable us to respond to unforeseen circumstances and adapt to changes in our activities while maintaining compliance with organizational norms.
General funds will support essential office expenses, allowing us to allocate resources efficiently and focus on our mission of promoting a sustainable future to local communities that we serves. Your contribution will play a crucial role in empowering children, Youth, women, farmers, farm labors, and fostering a sustainable development in our community. Together, we can make a significant and meaningful change in this communities.
