We are working on the issues like Health, Education, and Natural Resources Management. Our focus is to provide opportunities for business, education, and health to the youth of the unorganized sector, women, children, and economically deprived communities. Arrange training programs for the district to encourage and develop independent businesses. We are also joined with activities like Environment and agriculture. Our main strength lies in our experienced team; thus, we can implement our program successfully from a grassroots level.

This organization was established in 1993 by social workers Mr Nayanbhai Gandhi, Pushpaben Patel, Surshbhai Gohil, and Dhirubhai Vagadia. At that time, it was decided to work according to the founders' ideas and vision for improving health and education services. As per it, an organization started its work on primary education and reproductive and child health programs. After seven years of establishment, We discussed joining a livelihood program for women and started vocational training for women. The organization also included activities like constructing houses for Agariya, who live in peripheral areas of the sea, renovating historical places, and educational research. As per our vast experience, the organization has started activities of natural resource management, formation of SHGs for self-employment, and skill development training. Our team has joined with the “Gram SanjivaniSamiti” building activity in the Khambha, Dhari, and Amreli blocks of Amreli districts. Also, we could encourage farmers of the Jafrabad block to form their own companies.
Our volunteers run the Centre for Learning Assistance. Volunteers are a children-centred and volunteer-based mentoring activity designed to assist in implementing the learning that supports, guides and enriches local children's wellbeing and learning process. It focuses on students' well-being in academic, social, and emotional needs through the powerful and positive contribution of mentors.
Hariraj Charitable Trust works to develop a scalable model for engaging boys to prevent violence and discrimination against women and girls. We primarily focus on boys in the age group of 13-17 years. It provides boys with knowledge, skills, leadership, and peer support to challenge existing gender norms. The program operates to ensure that just like boys and men, women and girls are free from gender-based violence and feel safe from the threat of such violence. The program is facilitated by mentors trained to create safe and positive training spaces in which adolescent boys feel supported to learn about and debate issues in their community. Mentors deliver unique training where adolescent boys uncover how gender norms influence and shape specific role divisions and power relations. Boys concurrently go through a participatory process to reflect on their attitudes and behaviour and to become agents of change in their environment. The program ensures boys don’t simply study equality but that they experience it. One of the key aspects of the program is at the end of each cycle. Boys take collective actions to support women and girls in their community.

To bring attention to the critical issue of climate change and its impact on agriculture in Gujarat. As we all know, climate change significantly threatens the agricultural sector, affecting crop yields, water availability, and overall food security. In this context, we must prioritize and implement strategies to enhance resilience within the agricultural framework.

With its diverse agro-climatic zones, Gujarat faces challenges such as erratic rainfall, rising temperatures, and extreme weather events. These factors contribute to the vulnerability of the state's agricultural sector, which is a lifeline for a substantial portion of the population. Building resilience is a proactive measure necessary to ensure sustainable agricultural practices for future generations.

Water Management: Implementing efficient water harvesting and storage systems to mitigate the impact of erratic rainfall. Promoting precision irrigation techniques to optimize water usage and reduce wastage.
Crop Diversification: Encouraging farmers to diversify crops based on their adaptability to changing climatic conditions. Introducing resilient and climate-smart crop varieties that can withstand extreme weather events.
Technology Adoption: Providing farmers access to advanced technologies such as satellite imagery, weather forecasting, and data analytics to make informed decisions.
Promoting the use of sustainable agricultural practices, including organic farming and agroforestry.
Capacity Building: Conducting training programs and workshops to educate farmers on climate-resilient practices. Establishing knowledge-sharing platforms for farmers to exchange experiences and best practices.
Policy Support: Advocating for policies that incentivize climate-resilient agricultural practices. Collaborating with government agencies to integrate climate change considerations into agricultural policies and programs.
Community Engagement: Fostering community-based approaches to resilience, encouraging collaboration among farmers and local communities. Establishing early warning systems and contingency plans for communities vulnerable to climate-related disasters. We must act swiftly to implement these measures, considering the urgency of the climate crisis. By adopting a multi-stakeholder approach involving government bodies, non-governmental organizations, research institutions, and local communities, we can create a resilient agricultural system capable of withstanding the challenges posed by climate change.
