It’s a devastating earthquake, affected the neighboring provinces where around 13.5 million people reside. According to WHO, the affected regions in Turkey and Syria are home to around 23 million people including 1.4 million children. Shelter has been critical area of intervention those who has lost their houses and businesses, many impacted households are afraid to return to their homes and businesses due to aftershocks. With this project, we try to solve shelter problem. YUVA; designed to provide a practical, reasonable, healthy and an economical solution for people in need of mid-long term shelters and resilient living spaces in the disaster zone. When the emergency state resolves, it can still be used as it is, disassembled and stored for later use, or moved to a different location to be used for different purposes.
Our goal is to focus on shelter problem and repair the damage caused by the disaster with in sustainable way.
