United Against Human Trafficking (UAHT) fights both sex and labor trafficking in three ways: prevention, client services, and collaboration. We are the oldest anti-trafficking nonprofit in Houston and a leader in the national movement.
We received the FBI Director's Community Leadership Award in 2014 and have served on the TX Attorney General's Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force since 2010. In 2011, we conducted a field assessment of Harris/Galveston Counties to analyze the needs of minor sex trafficking victims. This assessment is still used today by local agencies to inform service delivery. We became a member of the TX Governor's Continuum of Care for Child Sex Trafficking Victims in 2019, allowing us to advocate for juvenile offenders who show signs of sexual exploitation.
We fight so that all may live free.
