Empowering Transforming Communities - International Women’s Day - 8 March 2026

At CARE International, we believe that when women thrive, communities thrive.

In Malawi, women like Grace are transforming their lives through CARE’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme. With skills training, small loans, and mentorship, Grace started a poultry business that now supports her family, sends her children to school, and inspires other women in her community.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate women like Grace who are breaking barriers, building businesses, and leading change. Empowering women isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s one of the most powerful ways to create lasting impact.

Join us in 2026 for International Women’s Day. Each March, we invite supporters to raise their voice for gender equality and support women and girls worldwide through CARE’s humanitarian and development work.

Our annual activity, Walk In Her Shoes, is a fun and impactful way to take action.

Last year, hundreds of participants walked, wheeled and ran thousands of miles, raising over £25,000 to support women facing crisis and conflict.
