After 40 years of working with local health centers around the world, we are confident that a critical way to make good health possible is to make smart investments in these hubs of health and wellness—health posts, hospitals and clinics anchored in communities.
That is our strategy: To help local health centers thrive—during times of disaster, recovery and every day—so they can help people in their communities.

How Do We Help Local Health Centers Thrive?
Americares helps local health centers thrive by:
1. Improving access to medicine
Increase local health centers’ access to medicine and supplies by strategically expanding donations and our partner network, while improving supply chains within our organization and across our network.
2. Enhancing clinical services and community health
Partner with local health centers and other entities to address general primary care needs of individuals with a focus on our five health themes, while also extending their work into community-based programming in health promotion and disease prevention.
3. Carrying out effective emergency programs
Continue to respond rapidly and effectively to disasters while enhancing health center-based preparedness and pushing more deeply into insecure environments.
