Urgent Appeal | Foreign aid cuts: Millions of children at risk - How you can help

by SAVE THE CHILDREN

Cuts in foreign aid threaten the survival of hundreds of thousands of children today, their well-being tomorrow, and the lives of children for generations to come. Your donation now can help change children’s lives.

With recent news of the USAid cuts and other Governments across the world slashing foreign aid budgets, lifesaving services are under threat. These cuts mean children will arrive at closed health clinics, go without meals, face forced labour or marriage, and suffer trauma alone. The impact is devastating and we need your support to continue to deliver

We have been forced to immediately stop some of our life-saving work. We are doing everything we can to keep fighting for children’s lives and rights. But we cannot do this alone.

Over 40 countries have been impacted across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, with over 17 million items of aid stuck in warehouses, trucks and with suppliers – and we need your help to deliver them. That’s critical, lifesaving aid that can't be delivered without your support.

What this could mean for children and families around the world:
In Tanzania...
• 225,000 pregnant women and over 2,000 children under two face increased risk of malnutrition and disease since the pause.
• A vital neglected tropical disease program has also been severely impacted, leaving 31,000 people at risk from disease.

In Sudan...
• 300,000 people won't get the nutrition and food aid they desperately need at a time when catastrophic hunger is already claiming lives.
• Over one million people will be cut off from nutritional and medical care.

In DRC...
• Hundreds of thousands of people will stop being treated for diseases like mpox and cholera, and tens of thousands of children won't get tested and treated for malnutrition.

These aren’t just numbers—they represent real children and families.

Over the past 100 years, Save the Children has been there for children through extraordinary global challenges. We aren’t going to stop now. Right now, we are doing everything we can, but we need your help.

Your donation now can help change children’s lives.
