Ukrainian Witness is a media project created on Feb 25th, 2022 – the 2nd day since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The main goal of the project is to document war atrocities and spread first-hand photo and video content in Ukraine and abroad.
It is critical for Ukraine to continue being present in the European and North American media to maintain awareness about the war, so that the people and governments continue providing financial and military support to Ukraine. We are fighting Russian propaganda and ensuring the world is getting facts and verified information about the war in Ukraine. Finally, we want our descendants, as they study the events of our times, to remember the price Ukrainian people had to pay fighting for their independence.
Ukrainian Witness is an independent media organization with an editorial office and content distribution department. The project operates thanks to the donations from active citizens and the grants from international organizations, none of which have any influence on our editorial policy and content.
Today Ukrainian Witness is creating high quality content for the Ukrainian and international audiences. We distribute photo and video materials via our own media resources (Youtube (~7M views), Telegram, Instagram, Facebook (870K followers)), as well as Ukrainian and foreign mass media (~6.2M TV audience and 2.7 billion online audience).
Our content has already been picked up by international news outlets such as:

* BBC and Yahoo! News in Europe;
* TV Asahi, NHK and Yahoo! News in Asia.
