IVORYTON LIBRARY ASSOCATION

Ivoryton, Connecticut

Organized in 1871 and built in l889, the Ivoryton Library has functioned continuously for over 140 years and remains one the few historic libraries within the State of Connecticut to stay within its original structure.

Through our consortium membership and the efforts of our staff and board of trustees, we are able to offer a wide array of educational, historical, cultural and civic resources to the community. The rich and complex history of our area has been well-documented and studied throughout various places of the world. Visit our History page to learn about our unique heritage.
Located on the lower level of the library, the Children’s Room is an inviting space for child enrichment. We carry a large selection of children’s books, games and DVDs for loan and provide ongoing and seasonal events.
