Devastating humanitarian crisis in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, with over 1,600 killed

In response to the devastating humanitarian crisis in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory the British Red Cross has launched an emergency appeal to support the people affected.

Since Saturday 7th October, more than 1,600 people have reportedly been killed in Israel and Gaza, with thousands more injured due to the escalating conflict. There are concerning reports of hostages being taken, while the UN says more than 120,000 Gazans have been displaced from their homes.

People are in desperate need of our help. Please donate today if you can.

What are the Red Cross doing to help?
Staff and volunteers from Magen David Adom (MDA), Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have been working round the clock to respond to urgent needs, including treating casualties. The ICRC are ready to provide further humanitarian assistance as required on both sides.

How to help people affected by the conflict:
The situation is desperate. The best and quickest way to help support those affected is to donate to our appeal. Donations will go towards helping people on the ground that need our support.

The Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory Appeal will support people in areas currently affected and those potentially affected in the future by the crisis. In the unlikely event that we raise more money than can be reasonably and efficiently spent, any surplus funds will be used to help us prepare for and respond to other humanitarian disasters anywhere in the world.
