Changemaker Fund

by Reap Benefit

We invite you to join us in this journey of empowering the youth and creating tangible change. Together, we can build a future where every young person is equipped to tackle societal and environmental challenges head-on!

The Changemaker Fund addresses a critical need: empowering young individuals who face unique struggles. Various areas, often bustling with potential yet marred by civic and environmental issues, are ripe for innovative solutions spearheaded by youth. The Changemaker Fund aims to bridge this gap. This investment addresses the distinct challenges faced by youth in these cities: limited access to resources, mentorship, and platforms to showcase their solutions.

Empirical evidence, from global initiatives and our own, has shown a positive impact of active citizenship on youth development, employability, and community engagement. The Fund, central to this approach, offers continuous support through grants, mentorship, and resources like technology tools to youth (ages 13-25) in India. It offers a boost in employment prospects, enhances community responsibility, and promotes grit, empathy and problem solving.

The Changemaker Fund offers:

Learning Journey: Enhancing leadership skills for large-scale problem resolution.
Knowledge toolkits and playbooks: Providing knowledge resources for running campaigns or building solutions.
Mentorship: Providing access to full-time mentors
Peer-Community: Providing access to a collaborative community of like-minded, passionate changemakers
Financial Support: Offering stipends and micro-grants.
Experiential Learning: Creating opportunities for hands-on experiences and personal initiative launches
Consistent Nudging: Be engaged consistently through the Solve Ninja Technology Platform (more below) through behaviour nudges scientifically designed to enable action.

Under the spotlight
Hardeep, Gurpreet Singh, Gursevak Singh, and Sukhwinder Singh set an ambitious goal to prevent stubble burning across 35 villages in Punjab, aiming to save 9,500 acres of land from fire. With 31,000 data points on stubble burning at his fingertips, courtesy of SamaajData, Hardeep spearheaded an awareness campaign transcending the boundaries of his village and reaching the expanses of Punjab. They not only achieved but exceeded their target - 10,500 acres of land prevented from stubble burning. Testimonies from farmers like Gurjant Singh and Harnek Singh highlight the impact of this initiative, with visible improvements in wheat growth and environmental health.
