The Viva Sunrise Program: Bringing Hot Water And Stability To Displaced Families In Armenia

For families displaced from Artsakh, rebuilding life in a new place often means starting over with almost nothing. Many live in older homes with poor infrastructure, where even something as basic as hot water for bathing, cooking, and hygiene is not guaranteed.

This year, we are raising $10,000 to provide displaced families with solar water heating systems, restoring comfort, dignity, and stability when it’s needed most. During 2026–2027, this project will support 15 families, benefiting more than 96 people, 54 of whom are children, across Armenia.

Behind every installation is a real family:
- parents trying to keep their children warm and healthy,
- caregivers managing daily life without reliable utilities,
- families rebuilding after displacement while facing rising living costs.

Each contribution creates a clear, tangible impact:
- $660 fully covers the purchase and installation of a solar water heater for one family
- One system provides reliable hot water year-round, at no cost
- Families experience improved hygiene, better health, and greater peace of mind

The VIVA Sunrise Program focuses specifically on displaced families from Artsakh, offering a practical solution that improves living conditions while also promoting energy independence and clean, renewable energy. By reducing utility expenses, solar water heaters ease long-term financial pressure on families already facing hardship.
