Student Relief during Covid-19

by FUTURE FOUNDATION OF SACRAMENTO

School closures, from K-12 through college, displaced all Future Sacramento students. We are seeking donations to support increased mentoring support via video conferences, essential school supplies and distance learning academic planners.

Distance learning in low-income households without college graduate role models imposes the disadvantages that our students have worked so hard to overcome at school.

All grade levels are impacted. Distance learning challenges 12th and 11th grade students to continue with rigorous coursework and prepare for college at home, away from college counselors, college preparatory teachers, and without college visits. Future Sacramento is helping our high school "Class of 2021" prepare for college, providing more support due to school closures.

We are supporting college students shifted to online-only courses and some cases, sent away from their on-campus homes. Concerns for student jobs, housing and food security are high. Continuing college students are grappling with unknowns.

We know our students are resilient. Please donate to help fund our increased services for displaced students and to sustain our college scholarships for this year and beyond.
