Support vehicle for mobile Forward Surgical Team (FST) for volunteer doctors saving lives in Ukraine

by Nova Ukraine

Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital is a team of healthcare professionals saving lives by treating and evacuating injured Ukrainian people on the frontline of the war. Unlike other paramedics, their core team consists of trained doctors. They operate on the wounded, sew them, and evacuate to the hospitals from the most dangerous zones.

PDMSh has acted in the hottest zones. From the first days of the active counteroffensive in Kharkiv region, PDMSh has followed Dyke Pole 518 Special Military Unit in Balakliya, Hrushivka, Husarivka and other villages. Now PDMSh is also treating people in Bakhmut in Donetsk region, one of the most dangerous front lines. As well this month PDMSh shifted it activity to the recently liberated Lyman. You can watch their videos from Kharkiv region and Bakhmut. For the last 6 months (May-October) PDMSh treated (extracted, stabilized and evacuated to base hospitals) 3563 patients on the Donbas alone.

PDMSh desparetly needs an armored all-terrain vehicle for mobile FST. PDMSh already has a name for it – “Kovcheh” (ark), which solves their needs:

1️⃣ Mobility is critical for the moving frontline where roads are destroyed. With Kovcheh, PFVMH may follow the counteroffensive and treat wounded people as the frontline moves. Kovcheh is self-sufficient: it is 5x11 meters and fits an operating table, it has a 500-liter fuel tank, a 500-liter water tank, and an autonomous heater.

2️⃣ Winter requires a warm FRSD. Wounded people suffer a lot if they are cold.

3️⃣ Security. Kovcheh is an armored vehicle and thus protects doctors and wounded people.

Kovcheh costs USD 250,000, which is already a reduced price. PFVMH has everything needed to transform Kovcheh into a proper stabilization center.

Nova Ukraine join forces with Razom for Ukraine by investing $120,000 in Kovcheh. We ask you to take part and save the lives of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers who unjustly suffer from Russia's bloody war and defend the universal values of freedom and democracy.
