WAY OF REAL DISCOVERY

The organization is a haven for the cultivation of verbal, visual, and dance talents of college-age students that desire to enhance their collegiate experience and skills for the real world while serving the campus and the community. The organization has coined the term "student-artist", which is an individual on the pursuit of academic excellence at the college/university level, and developing his/her artistic talents to serve the college and community through the social, cultural and "edu"tainment (educate/entertain) programs. Our programs include campus and community open mic nites for psychological therapy, literary workshops with youth at youth-centered organizations such as The Boys and Girls Club and The YMCA. The vision statement of the organization is; "Way Of Real Discovery (W.O.R.D), INC will create a network of confident, talented, and prepared “student-artists” turned graduates that will be able to undertake any career endeavor they choose." Furthermore, the organization seeks to fund the eligible "student-artist" with stipend/scholarship money so that they can fully commit to the organization and not have to work an outside job, attend school, and participate in the organization, they will be able to commit to the latter two.
