About Compeer of Lebanon County
Compeer strengthens mental health and well-being through the power of human connection. We match individual living with mental health challenges in meaningful one-to-one supportive friendships with trained community volunteers, offer inclusive group programming, and provide community education to reduce stigma -ensuring that no one faces mental health challenges alone.
Our Programs
Community Adult
This program serves individuals ages 18 and older living with mental health challenges. Participants are matched in one-to-one friendships with trained volunteers and are invited to take part in two inclusive social groups each month that foster connection, belonging, and mutual support.
CompeerCORPS
This is an extension of the Community Adult Program designed specifically for veterans. Veterans are matched one-to-one with trained veteran volunteers who share lived experience and understanding. The program also offers veteran-only social opportunities, including a monthly breakfast (with home-delivered meals for homebound veterans) and a quarterly Women Veterans Lunch to promote connection and camaraderie.
Youth
Our Youth program is a school-based mental health support program for high school students. Offered during an activity period and facilitated in a group setting, the program focuses on mental wellness, resilience, healthy boundaries, trauma-informed care, and relationship-building skills—supporting students in a safe and supportive environment.
Community Education & Training
Compeer provides mental health trainings at least four times a year for volunteers and interested community members. We also collaborate with local partners on community-wide events and educational initiatives to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and strengthen mental health supports across Lebanon County.
