Almost 67% of youth in South Africa between the ages of 18 and 24 are unemployed. Their main challenge remains access to quality education, care and guidance. In addition, many originate from other emerging African economies, including Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Burundi, DRC, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Zambia and Angola.
Close to 70% of children in South Africa are raised without both parents, grandparents, or sometimes no adult love and guidance. Many of them grow up in poverty living in a mirage of life through a twilight economy. They often feel abandoned and displaced. Chronic anxiety, fear, depression and even anger colour the consciousness of these children, our children living in Africa today.
Consciousness is the ubiquitous educator of each and every one of our children, just as it is with each of us reading this report. It can transform our lives at any moment, in any corner of the world, in extraordinary ways, just as it has over millennia, making humanity the only creatures who have fully adapted our environment to match our needs and wants. This process of transformation rests on our extraordinary capacity to learn, to change, and to innovate.
This process of transformation carries on uninterrupted, making our world shift in as yet unimaginable ways. Some are constructive, some, not so, often leading to ebbs and flows of crisis and prosperity that lead humanity towards unchartered territories, and the need to unravel unique and hidden capabilities deep within our consciousness that help us navigate them.
After 24,000 graduates, 65 research publications and 34 awards, we believe we understand the nature of these shifts through training each of us to access our consciousness on a daily basis, to refine our inner resources—our unique capabilities--with which we perpetually redefine the path to prosperity for our self and our society. We believe our consciousness and its infinite capabilities, when trained through systematic quality education, flourish exciting facets in experiencing life as individuals, organisations and communities. This flourishing, stemming from our infinite capabilities to grow individually, and our exponential capacity to develop collectively, is at once the vision and the guiding principle we follow in serving each child, starting with those in Africa, where by 2030, 42% of the planet’s youngest reside.
As we spread our wings across Europe and North America, in order to significantly increase partnerships and resources to serve humanity through paradigm-shattering consciousness-based education, employment and entrepreneurship of the youngest continent, our vision is enriched with a new plethora of perpetual and impactful potential for innovations that impel a global economy that is sustainable, scalable and replicable for all.
Just as at the outset of the Industrial Revolution, the west served as the cradle of the modern era, today, Africa is emerging as the cradle of a consciousness-based era, where extremes that have assailed humanity’s progress through swings between the material and the spiritual, are wedded together through each child’s consciousness in order to assist human family flourish through the path of service-leadership, putting an end to the ‘us and them’ mentality that retards our sustainable growth and goals.
At the heart of this process is Education Town, the first global hub for education and innovation of the most capable segment of the population in Africa’s most impactful capital, Johannesburg. A city enriched with a history of mining gold and precious gems is now advancing the global community by mining infinite capabilities of the next generation--the greatest resource to save and serve humanity—as we recognise our oneness as one single human family consciously, socially and economically.
In addition, through the 900,000 members of our AI-based National Teachers as well as the. 600,000 members of our Nelson Mandela Extranet peer-based Networks we are reaching new levels of penetration in transforming dynamic of sustainable growth from the very foundation of grassroots populations throughout South Africa.
This is because we support a global breakthrough in education, known as Consciousness-Based Education (CBE). Our starting point is that every child has untapped genius deep inside. If we want to develop that genius, the development work has to start from deep inside. CBE builds the individual from the inside, at that deepest level, starting with the development and expansion of inner consciousness or wakefulness, utilising daily practices and disciplines like yoga and Transcendental Meditation (TM).
In addition, we keep our focus on women and young girls, with at least 70% of our intakes each year involving female students. With every girl we educate, we elevate seven generations out of poverty.
Finally, we are serious about building the future from the foundation. This means we serve those who have experienced the highest levels of socioeconomic marginalisation as a result of Apartheid.
Our record demonstrates that by focussing on women and the most marginalised, we are producing some of the most outstanding future leaders changing the fortunes of each family, the building blocks of our nation.
Furthermore, for two decades we have pioneered universal access to free tertiary education. Our passion to serve those wrongfully marginalised had led the transformation of at least 24,000 lives through quality education with almost 23,000 finding work.
Through this process, we demonstrate our commitment to core operational values of sustainable, scalable and replicable low cost and high return on investment in one of the most volatile socioeconomic dynamics on the planet.
Our 34 awards, 65 publications and recognition by institutions such as Stanford University and Skoll Foundation as successful leaders in redefining human flourishing through Consciousness-Based Education from preschool through high school and college to university.
In addition, we offer specialist industry professional academies on a demand driven basis from employers, to train youth into critical and scarce-skilled leaders in both traditional and emerging fields fully conscious of the critical role we need to play at this juncture in human history.
By 2035, we aim to assist 100,000 African students, earning £50 Billion over their working careers supporting 1,000,000 family members.
