Over 2100 children
From age group 8 and 12, (approximately 15-20%) will require eye glasses.
A 26 year old that needed glasses 16-18 years ago has essentially been left behind. Going into the rural areas and screening 8-12 yr olds gives them the future chance and opportunity to reach their full potential as we know that poor vision negatively affects education, opportunities and safety.
Supplying eye glasses in areas that don’t get the attention will be the first chance of lasting “good will” you can provide.
The kit consists of a series of technically designed paediatric frames and lenses. We focus specifically on the kids as they need the first chance at schoolwork.
With the WildVision-Angola eye project we will be visiting Kasane villages North of Botswana.
We will test each childs eyes in accordance with legislation but more importantly give them the an opportunity to do better in school, home and sports life.
