Help Ukrainian children get back to learning and adjust to their new homes!

Remember how exciting it was to go back to school? Pencils, books, and new adventures awaited!

Thanks to your incredible support last year, SOS Children’s Villages was able to help children and families affected by the crisis in Ukraine. Now, we need your help again to make sure kids can go back to school in Ukraine and adapt to their new learning environments.

With your generous donation in 2022, SOS Children’s Villages worked tirelessly to protect children and families in Ukraine and neighboring countries, providing vital aid to over 340,000 Ukrainians, including 200,000 children. But the crisis is far from over, and many children are still in need.

While kids in Canada are happily returning to school, Ukrainian children face a different reality. Over 2,000 children have been hurt, and 1.2 million are far from home. Thousands of schools and hospitals have been damaged, making it hard for kids to get the education and care they need.

Ukrainian schools closed their doors last year, disrupting children’s routines and putting them at risk of tangible learning loss. Free educational content, created by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, is available online allowing children to continue learning during the crisis. However, not everyone has the tools they need, but your support can change that! We'll provide ICT equipment and support online learning for school-age children, helping them find a bit of normalcy. Additionally, many Ukrainian children have joined schools in their new communities in new countries. SOS is helping children integrate and succeed in these new school environments through psychosocial and learning support.

With a team of over 200 Ukrainian staff, SOS Children’s Villages has a well-established and long-standing presence in Ukraine and 13 key refugee hosting countries across Europe. This enables us to respond to urgent needs in nearly all regions of the country, including communities experiencing heavy conflict, and surrounding countries. Now, we are on a mission to reach over 100K school aged children.

$1,300 can give one child the chance to continue learning with a brand-new laptop.
$3,500 will help 5 brave kids injured by war, providing them with school materials and equipment for a full year of online education.
$5,000 will ensure the support of 20 children through mental health and psychosocial support.*
