Filipino BC is grateful we will now be collecting donations in support of those impacted by the tragedy that occurred on April 26, 2025, with the help of United Way BC. United Way is committed to supporting our ongoing recovery and resilience efforts for the Filipino community and beyond.
KAPWA is a term that describes the Filipino experience of community, interconnectedness and shared humanity. Many Filipinos practice this value through solidarity, and we've seen this value extended across the overwhelming support from our broader communities.
Donations made through this page will be designated specifically to Filipino BC to support individuals and families affected - covering immediate needs such as counselling and funeral costs, and supporting long term recover through a grant-based system.
Please Note: Filipino BC is responsible for how these designated funds will be distributed based on the needs of the community and those impacted.
