Help children in Pakistan

by Australian Committee For UNICEF Limited

Flooding is devastating communities in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Children and families have lost their homes as flood waters continue to rise to dangerous heights.

In Pakistan, five times the average rainfall has inundated large swathes of the country. There are reports of almost 1000 people losing their lives, with the death toll rising.

More than 3.4 million children are estimated to have been impacted. 2 million acres of crops have been lost. Health facilities have been damaged and medicines destroyed.

UNICEF teams are on the ground in the three affected provinces. We are working with the government and partners and racing to deliver urgently needed medicine, vaccines, water and sanitation supplies. Already, we have provided 8,000 people access to safe drinking water and delivered soap to 7,000 families.

Please donate today to save lives fast. Your generous gift will go directly to UNICEF’s emergency response work for children in Pakistan and around the world.

HOW DOES UNICEF HELP CHILDREN DURING AN EMERGENCY?

Thanks to the contributions of our generous supporters, we’re able to have a presence in 190 countries around the world.

When a disaster strikes, we’re able to deliver emergency supplies in just 48 hours.

Your donation will help us respond to emergencies, like the recent earthquake in Afghanistan.

UNICEF staff are currently in the field providing urgent assistance to affected children and families as they face some of the most devastating crises in places like Pakistan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Yemen and Syria.

This year alone we have already helped to save lives after devastating earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and flooding wreaked havoc in communities. And we’re there for the long haul too, staying long after the headlines fade to help build brighter futures for children and their communities.

Your generous support will help us to reach children in urgent need. Please, make a donation today.

HOW COULD MY DONATION HELP CHILDREN?

By donating to support UNICEF’s emergency work, you can help us reach the world’s most vulnerable children and their communities.

With $80 you could provide 195 bars of soap to help prevent deadly diseases.
With $120 you could help to create more than 116,000 litres of clean drinking water.
With $271 you could deliver a School-in-a-Box with enough education supplies to keep 40 students learning.
