Give The World A Shot

by Australian Committee For UNICEF Limited

Every year, UNICEF vaccinates half the world’s children against preventable disease. Now, we’re ensuring no one is left behind in the race to vaccinate everyone against COVID-19.

UNICEF’s goal is to ensure health workers, teachers, social workers and the most vulnerable in every country – not just the wealthier ones – are protected, and patients get the urgent medical supplies and oxygen they need.

We need your help to deliver 2 billion vaccines, 5.6 million tests and 5.5 million treatments around the world this year. Join us for the biggest health and logistics project in history.

Who's getting vaccinated?
Vaccines are being prioritised for frontline health and social workers, teachers, and those at highest risk from the virus. Your donation will help struggling health services get back on their feet, as well as help millions of children go back to school, while protecting the most at-risk people.

Why UNICEF?
As experts in large-scale vaccination initiatives with over 75 years of experience, UNICEF is the only global organisation ready to deliver an operation of this size. As part of the COVAX Facility, with your help UNICEF is using its extensive knowledge and infrastructure to deliver COVID-19 vaccines around the world, as well as supplying test kits and life-saving medical supplies to treat people who’ve contracted the virus. We already vaccinate half the world’s children every year, and we will always find a way to protect the most vulnerable.
COVAX is a ground-breaking collaboration between 191 countries – its aim is simple: ensure every country in the world has fair and equal access to the COVID-19 vaccines, tests and treatments. It’s co-led by Gavi (The Vaccine Alliance) and the WHO, among others.

How can I help?
By supporting UNICEF, you’re helping bring us all one step closer to beating the pandemic.

Just $20 can help to deliver enough COVID-19 vaccines to protect 4 health workers, teachers or vulnerable people around the world.

$85 can help to train health workers in a health facility on administering the COVID-19 vaccines, tests and treatments.

$500 can help to deliver enough vaccines to protect 100 people from people from COVID-19.

Global COVID-19 vaccines rollout began on 24th February 2021. In the first 2 weeks, nearly 30 million doses were delivered to 32 countries. This is just the beginning. With your help, we’ll deliver 2 billion before the end of the year.

Global access to vaccines, tests and treatments
COVID-19 knows no borders. The devastation we have seen, from India to Brazil, impacts us all as a global community. To beat this virus, we have to see the bigger picture. We’ll only begin to recover from the pandemic when people in lower-income countries have access to vaccines, tests and treatments too. UNICEF is on a mission to deliver 2 billion vaccines, 5.6 million tests and 5.5 million treatments around the world this year.

We won’t stop until everyone is protected. Your support will help us get there.

In the event that UNICEF receives more funds than needed to respond to this appeal, your gift will help support UNICEF's work for children in other emergency situations around the world.
