The Ayrton Senna Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 1994 to create opportunities for Brazilian students to reach their full potential through access to quality education.
Ayrton Senna, one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time, was not only passionate about racing. He was deeply committed to the future of Brazil. He dreamed of a country where every citizen could be a winner. But he knew that for most Brazilians, especially children and youth, this was far from reality.
Just two months before his tragic accident in Imola, Italy, Ayrton shared with his sister, Viviane Senna, his desire to make a meaningful contribution to the country he loved, particularly by supporting younger generations.
Viviane, who was already working in human development as a psychologist, embraced this vision. Together with their family, she turned Ayrton’s dream into a lasting legacy.
Today, the Ayrton Senna Institute is one of Brazil’s leading non-profit organizations. For over 30 years, it has worked to transform lives through education, reaching thousands of students and teachers across the country.
So far, the Institute has impacted more than 39 million students and trained over 799,000 educators in more than 3,200 municipalities, covering all 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District.
