Beyond scholarship awards, we empower our students with the resources of mentoring, customized awards, renewable funding and financial aid advocacy.
The benefits of being a Future Sacramento scholarship awardee include receiving mentoring and assistance with accessing college, participating in college-prep activities and Financial Aid workshops, and the opportunity to receive up-to five years in college funding - value of $25,000. Our complete program approach makes the Future Sacramento scholarship more effective in fully funding students' educations as they persist to graduation and earn their first-in-family college degree.
Our scholarship awardees persist in college better than the average student, and at an even higher rate when compared to their low-income, first-generation college student peers. All Future Sacramento graduates earned degrees faster than the national average of six years. Most of our scholarship recipients graduate in four years. 75% of our awardees renew our scholarship annually and graduate with their college degree!
