A Legacy of Philanthropy & Commitment to Education
Nakiye and Ziya Boyacigiller exemplified a life committed to giving back, inspired by a deep sense of civic duty and responsibility to their community.
“Both Ziya and I grew up in families with a deep sense of civic duty and responsibility to our communities; giving was not something that was foreign to either of us,” shares Nakiye Boyacigiller, a founding member of TPF’s Founders Society. Throughout their lives, Nakiye and Ziya’s philanthropy reflected their passion for education, especially supporting women’s education in Turkiye. Their giving began modestly and grew in tandem with their success, encompassing scholarships and fellowship programs aimed at empowering youth and young entrepreneurs.
The Boyacigiller family exemplifies leadership, innovation, and a commitment to education. Their inspiring journey and outstanding contributions serve as a beacon of hope and perseverance.
In honor of the enduring legacy of Nakiye and Ziya Boyacigiller, their close friend Canan Kadioglu (all Class of '74 BÜ), in partnership with BUMED and TPF, invite you to join in supporting aspiring students at Boğaziçi University.
The goal is to establish a scholarship fund in their name at BUMED that will support talented students annually. This academic year, each $1,400 scholarship will support a deserving student annually, with aspirations to expand support in the future.
Inspired by Ziya and Nakiye’s lifelong dedication to education and giving, you're invited to be a part of this meaningful campaign. Your contribution will not only honor their legacy but also create new opportunities for talented students—helping them achieve their full potential and turn their dreams into reality.
You can build a future where education, leadership, and compassion continue to thrive through the generous support of donors who believe in the power of giving back.
