In winter, the temperature in fields, forests, on the front line, or in dugouts drops significantly below zero. Prolonged exposure to frost leads to frostbite, hypothermia, and severely reduces combat effectiveness.
Chemical hand warmers (or heat packs) are simple yet critically important equipment that allows soldiers to essentially warm their bodies, hands, and feet. They provide safe and prolonged heat in stationary conditions where starting a fire is impossible or dangerous. This is a direct contribution to health, comfort, and the ability to perform combat missions.
— Purpose: warming hands, feet, and the body, as well as use in sleeping bags and to prevent critical equipment from freezing.
— Mobility and silence: the warmers activate instantly and operate silently, which is vital on the front line.
— Urgency: we have dozens of requests from various units and brigades (including representatives of the International Legion) as they prepare for the cold weather.
The cost for pack of ten warmers is about $5 US (4,30 EUR).
