Empowering Tribal Communities in India through Health and Hygiene initiatives

来自 Women's Education and Economic Development Society

The Irular tribe, a highly marginalized Scheduled Tribe in Tamil Nadu, continues to face extreme poverty, poor health, and limited access to education. Many families survive on just one meal a day, live in unsafe shelters, and lack basic hygiene and sanitation facilities. Children are undernourished, often out of school, and grow up without access to even the most basic necessities.

WEEDS has been working closely with Irular communities in Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts, providing health awareness programs, hygiene kits, school supplies, clothing, footwear, bicycles for students, and post-flood relief support, including home reconstruction for vulnerable families.

We now seek your support to engage Irular tribal individuals through regular health and hygiene awareness programs, along with the distribution of hygiene kits every three months, to educate and reinforce the importance of healthy and hygienic living.

Your contribution can restore dignity, improve health, and bring hope to a community that has long been left behind.

We kindly request you to support this cause and share it with your colleagues and friends. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the Irular community.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
