Doctors For The Regions Of Armenia: Bring Medical Care To Rural Families

Across Armenia’s rural regions, thousands of families live hours away from essential medical care. For elderly patients, parents with young children, and people managing chronic conditions, a routine check-up can mean costly travel, lost workdays, or simply going without care. Too often, illnesses that are treatable become emergencies just because help is too far away.

The Doctors for the Regions of Armenia project delivers healthcare directly to communities in need. We mobilize qualified physicians to provide free medical consultations, basic diagnostics, and referrals in underserved villages where access to healthcare is limited or unavailable. Each visit brings timely care, early detection, and peace of mind to patients who would otherwise be left behind.

Behind every consultation is a real story:
- an elderly person managing heart disease alone,
- a parent worried about a child’s untreated symptoms,
- a patient delaying care because travel costs are impossible to cover.

Your support creates direct, measurable impact:
- $20 covers one medical consultation for a rural patient
- $100 supports a full day of care for a vulnerable family
- $270 supports one nurse for a month
- $1600 helps fund an entire clinic with telemedicine consultations, and purchasing medications and consumables

In 2025, the program's total cost was $400,000, with 7,000 patients already under the fund's supervision. In 2026, with no need to purchase additional equipment, we aim to raise $200,000 for 10 locations. Funds cover physician travel, on-site care, and coordination with local healthcare providers to ensure follow-up when needed.
