Direct Relief is a leader in disaster response – meeting the needs of communities impacted by climate-based and other emergencies across the world. In the US, Direct Relief works with emergency management teams across each state to coordinate response efforts.
In November 2024, Direct Relief announced a long-term partnership with the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJ OEM). Through this partnership, Direct Relief deploys critical medical and emergency resources, supporting the NJ OEM’s statewide response efforts (including wildfires continuing to burn across parts of New Jersey and New York at the time of this announcement).
In addition, the NJ OEM runs one of 28 national search and rescue teams across the country – the New Jersey Task Force (NJ-TF1). A resource across the state of New Jersey, the NJ-TF1 is regularly deployed to shore up search and rescue efforts across the region. This partnership between Direct Relief and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management will support those efforts.
Thank you for your support for Direct Relief’s disaster response across New Jersey and the Northeast US.
