"Earlier this year Türkiye was struck by consecutive earthquakes of 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude causing devastating loss of human life, displacement of families and widespread devastation of infrastructure. Over 50,000 people lost their lives and 107,000 were left injured. The earthquake caused over $100 billion of economic damage with 2.5 million people still living in tent and container cities.
Many heroes stepped forward as first respondents and organizations like TPF led the way in providing expertise and resources.
Now, to help with the crucial rehabilitation effort, I am running the NYC Marathon to help raise awareness and funds for TPF's Türkiye Earthquake Fund.
