Botswana is home to nearly 130,000 free-roaming elephants — the largest population on Earth. Beyond its borders, thousands more roam Angola, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, across the 440,000 km² Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA).
Elephants, like humans, need space, food, and water. Without careful management, conflict is inevitable — threatening lives and livelihoods. Our work brings communities together, teaching farmers and villagers how to protect their families and crops while ensuring elephants can roam safely.
