Sudan Urgent Appeal

/ INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RELIEF FOUNDATION

Ongoing conflict, economic collapse, and multiple humanitarian emergencies have devastated Sudan, pushing millions into extreme hunger and displacement.

The escalating war has shattered livelihoods, disrupted agriculture, and undermined the country’s ability to feed or protect its people.

More than 30 million people in Sudan now require humanitarian assistance — over half of the country’s total population. The conflict has forced over 11.3 million people from their homes, while several million more have fled to neighbouring countries in search of safety.

Food insecurity has reached catastrophic levels, with over 24 million people facing acute hunger and several regions already experiencing famine-like conditions. The widespread collapse of essential infrastructure — including health, water, and sanitation systems — is worsening the crisis, placing children, women, and displaced families at even greater risk.

The Need for Aid

Children, displaced families, and people living in isolated or conflict-ridden areas are suffering the most from this catastrophe. With every passing day, access to food, clean water, and shelter becomes increasingly fragile. Health care systems and protection services are collapsing, while the risks of disease and malnutrition continue to rise sharply. Without urgent support, countless lives will be lost to hunger, illness, and exposure.

IDRF is providing food vouchers that cover essential groceries, ensuring a family of seven has enough supplies for an entire month.
