The impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus has been felt worldwide. This fund will support researchers at the Li Ka Shing Institute for Virology and across the University of Alberta in developing a vaccine and treatments for COVID-19. It will also be used for research to mitigate the long-term effect of the disease on society, and research into other emerging pathogens.
