Build Early Childhood, Primary & Skills Wings for Vulnerable Children, Youth, and Young Mothers in Uganda
efter VILLAGE VISION CAREKind and humble greetings,
My name is Ronnie Remmy Mukwaya, Founder, Dream Bearer, and Volunteer Chief Executive Officer of Village Vision Care (VVC), a fully registered nonprofit community development organization in Uganda.
My journey in community service is deeply inspired by my late sponsor, Mr. Glenn Flaten, a Rotarian from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He supported me like a father, and his love for service shaped my vision and calling. Guided by his generosity and by God’s direction, I established VVC in his memory to serve the vulnerable, uplift the forgotten, and bring hope where despair often lingers. Glenn is dearly missed; may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Through VVC, we continue Glenn’s legacy by empowering disadvantaged communities across Uganda. Our programs include:
Health / WASH: Providing access to clean water, hygiene, and essential healthcare.
Education / Child Support: Ensuring children can attend school and reach their potential.
Livelihoods & Skills Development: Equipping youth and mothers with skills for sustainable income.
Environmental Conservation: Protecting natural resources while supporting communities.
We stand with children living with HIV/AIDS, children with disabilities, street children, orphans, struggling single and young mothers, and elderly people without relatives to care for them. Every action, contribution, or connection helps us restore dignity, build opportunity, and create brighter, sustainable futures.
With utmost humility, I kindly reach out to ask whether Village Vision Care (VVC) might be considered for your support or partnership, or whether you could graciously connect us to the right channels for international causes.
VVC is raising funds to build the Beacon education centre-Kawule Village Campus in Uganda. This community hub will serve forgotten children, youth, single and young mothers, and elderly people, providing education, healthcare, and practical skills for a brighter, self-reliant future.
In our community, many children have lost parents, and countless elderly are left alone with no care. It is heartbreaking to witness a child without school or an elderly person falling sick simply because of poverty. VVC provides free education for orphans and children from struggling families and free medical care for elderly people with no support. Families who can afford it contribute small, affordable fees, helping sustain operations while ensuring that those most vulnerable are never turned away.
We invite donors and partners to join us. Together, we can lift the weak, give children with disabilities hope, empower youth and single mothers, and bring smiles to the elderly. With your support, we can build something lasting, beautiful, and full of light and opportunity.

Who We Serve
Children (Nursery to P.7)
Out-of-school youth
Single and young mothers
Elderly people with no family support
Support & Sustainability Plan
Education for orphans and children from families in deep need will always be free. Elderly people with no support receive free medical care. Families able to contribute small fees help sustain operations. This ensures that the center continues to serve the most vulnerable, while fostering community solidarity where those who can give a little help carry those with nothing.
Project Background
The Beacon Education Centre – Kalisizo Campus is a long-term, Christ-inspired initiative to build a safe and inclusive community education hub. The center will provide early childhood and primary education, clean water, medical care, dormitories, and life skills training for children, youth, and single/young mothers. With donor support, we aim to create a fully equipped, income-generating campus that empowers the local community and serves as a replicable model across Uganda.
Children in Kawule Village face severe hardship: broken families, absent fathers, hunger, long walks to overcrowded schools, unsafe water, and minimal healthcare. HIV/AIDS, extreme poverty, COVID-19 effects, early pregnancy, menstrual poverty, and disabilities further increase vulnerability. Young women often shoulder adult responsibilities far too early, while children with disabilities are frequently unseen and unheard.
Our Approach
Beacon Education Centres–Kalisizo Campus is not just a school, it is a center of hope, healing, and opportunity. Children will:
Eat nutritious meals and access clean water
Sleep in safe dormitories, including for children with disabilities
Receive basic medical care
Gain moral, spiritual, and emotional guidance
Learn practical skills: tailoring, knitting/embroidery, baking, farming, and computer literacy
Be seen, loved, and restored
Long-Term Plan (2025–2028)
Early childhood and primary education (Nursery to P.7)
Dormitories, dining hall, multipurpose hall, and community medical center
Tailoring, knitting/embroidery, and bakery departments
Solar-powered clean water and rainwater harvesting
Music room, library, digital learning tools, and ward piano for therapy and worship
Poultry, piggery, milk cows, and vegetable gardens for meals and training
Life skills programs for out-of-school youth and single mothers
Inclusive programs ensuring children with disabilities are fully integrated and supported
Sustainability Strategy
To reduce donor dependency, the campus will implement income-generating activities:
Community medical services providing affordable care
Knitting and embroidery supporting school operations and community needs
In-house school uniforms and tailoring services
Sale of baked goods, milk, eggs, and pigs
Agricultural projects supporting student meals
Music and creative arts events, including the ward piano
Craft-making training for children to create additional income
Partnerships with local churches, businesses, and social groups to mobilize volunteers
These initiatives will create a self-sustaining ecosystem that benefits both the school and the wider community.
Transport & Infrastructure
To reduce recurring transport costs and improve efficiency:
Small delivery truck for bakery operations
Double cabin pickup for field visits, outreach, and monitoring
Heavy-duty truck for construction materials and agricultural produce
These vehicles enhance operational efficiency, support income-generating activities, and expand our ability to deliver services effectively.
Future Impact
With donor support, the campus will:
Serve as a model center, inspiring other initiatives across Uganda
Equip children with national skills certificates, empowering youth with education, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods
Transform vulnerable children and families into self-reliant community members
Strengthen VVC’s leadership of the Masaka VKM Cluster as a certified DIT Center (MAC/1523)
The Campus will spread hope, education, and sustainable development, creating a legacy of opportunity and resilience for generations to come.
