Asthi Visarjan Program -Disposal of Ashes of unclaimed bodies from crematoriums in Delhi

As thousands of unclaimed bodies are recovered by Police in Delhi every year and there are many such poor people bodies also whose family members are failed to complete their last rituals after death due to poverty or other reasons. Crematoriums keeps their ashes in small containers in crematoriums in hope that someone either from their family or otherwise will come forward to dispose them in holy river of Ganges in Haridwar or other religious place so that their last journey could be completed. Thousands of such ‘Ashes’ are stored in different crematoriums in Delhi. Now ABHINAV SAMAJ is working for disposal of ashes of such deprived and poor people. Under our ‘Asthi Visarjan Program’ we collects ashes (Asthis) from different crematoriums of Delhi, our team takes them on our Vans deployed for this programs, takes them to Sati Ghat, Haridwar and completes their last rituals with complete dignity and honour by pandits and dispose them in holy river of Ganges.
