Make a difference in the lives of refugees

di US Association for UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency)

Project Details
War, violence and persecution shatter lives and force people to flee. Propelled in the last year by the war in Ukraine and other deadly conflicts, the number of forcibly displaced has now surpassed the staggering milestone of 100 million for the first time on record.

When an emergency strikes, life can change in a matter of minutes. People are forced to flee their homes and often leave with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. They lose everything familiar to them—their home, their job, their community.

By choosing to give, you are standing with these families to let them know they are not facing these challenges alone. You can help ensure access to crucial humanitarian assistance and protection. Your support can provide safety, relief and comfort to those who have lost everything. And you are helping to empower refugees with the resources and tools they need to rebuild their lives.

What does your gift support?
Whether refugee and displaced families are uprooted for weeks, months or years, UNHCR remains with refugees long after the headlines disappear – providing lifesaving aid, shelter, cash assistance to meet household needs, access to education and livelihood training.

For refugees who are able to return home, UNHCR provides assistance with transport, documentation and essential items to make the transition as smooth as possible. Once they are home, UNHCR provides ongoing support and education to help families rebuild their communities and their livelihoods.

Your love today ensures refugees around the world have what they need to recover and rebuild their lives.
