This initiative aims to increase generational wealth by creating accessible healthcare career pathways for learners, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates a projected shortfall of 10 million health workers by 2030
"The chronic under-investment in education and training of health workers in some countries and the mismatch between education and employment strategies in relation to health systems and population needs are contributing to continuous shortages."
According to the WHO, "Sixty-seven per cent (67%) of the health and social workforce are women and investing in the health workforce is an opportunity to create decent employment opportunities, in particular for women and youth."
In the United States, the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA) projects a shortage of over 628,000 nurses and physicians.
The National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA) projects nationwide nursing shortages, including:
207,980 registered nurses (RNs)
302,440 licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
"A well-trained, culturally competent physician workforce is vital for keeping Americans healthy. Since it can take over a decade of education and residency to prepare a physician, the United States should take steps now to address future physician shortages."
NCHWA projects an overall shortage of 187,130 physicians in 2037 including many physician specialties, such as:
87,150 primary care physicians
8,650 cardiology physicians
9,890 OB-GYNs
8,450 anesthesiology physicians
4,050 nephrology physicians
To address this urgent need, our efforts will focus on the following three objectives:
1. Educate and Train. Provide learners with hands-on, skill-based, industry-aligned training in healthcare career pathways to inspire and prepare them for meaningful careers.
2. Certify and Validate. Issue micro-credentials to learners, offering evidence of their skills and knowledge to prospective employers.
3. Connect Learners with Opportunities. Offer learners a free, user-friendly profile app that can be accessed by partner employers and educational institutions (with parent/guardian permission). This tool bridges the gap between learners and opportunities, facilitating seamless connections to jobs and higher education.
Your partnership and support are deeply valued and greatly appreciated. Together, we can empower the next generation of healthcare professionals and drive transformative change.
