Fresh Air for Science: The Final Push in Equipping Our Research Lab

Extreme southern heat shouldn’t stop scientific progress. To allow our scientists, educators, and researchers to analyze data, develop methodologies, and drive our projects forward without interruption, we need to complete the setup of our research rooms.

We have already done a massive amount of work: building windows have been replaced, and 80% of the facilities and grounds renovation is complete. Now, we face the final and most crucial push to keep our work environment viable during the hot months — installing air conditioning in the laboratory and the methodology office.

This is our very first "advance-funded" campaign. To prevent our research from freezing up during the peak of summer heat, our partners provided the funds upfront. Three AC units have already been purchased and installed, saving the microclimate, but we now have exactly two weeks to return these funds to the target reserve.

We are launching this urgent campaign to cover the climate control equipment costs and fully finalize the modernization of our scientific space. This is a clear, tangible, and very practical task where every single contribution matters.

One high-capacity air conditioner for the methodology office (split system, advanced performance) — $870

Two air conditioners for the research laboratories ($570 per unit, including installation) — $1140
