SMALL WONDERS ENTERTAINMENT

LIke most charities, it is personal for me and for many of you. My elderly mother lived in a Senior facility for many years and I visited her regularly trying to bring a spark into her rather humdrum life. I have always been a puppeteer but I like so many always thought of puppets as children's entertainment. Not True! In many Cultures around the world, puppetry is forAdults, bringing the visual majesty of a major stage production! I have learrned this concept and vowed to bring it to senior populations in my area. Central Texas has become a place of Global presence though it's tech industry and those tech people have brought their families (parents) with them. Seniors yearn for Entertianment they are familiar with.
Small Wonders Entertainmnet is dedicated to the creation of High quality, visually stimulating,Memory evoking presentations through musical puppet shows. Our shows are presented by look alike, famous Entertainers of the past, performing music Seniors and Memory Care pateints can joyfully remember! These productions provide a form of Reminisence Therapy, which is a clinically proven way to bring generally happy experiences without the anxiet memory care patients experence when asked to remember a specific event.

The Senior citizen community in this part of the country has grown tremendously, while the need for our kind of entertainment grows too.The mean age of residents has gone from WW11 Vets to early Baby Boomers and their musical memories have changed. It is time for Small Wonders to build a new show for this new Audience and we need your help.
