Americares Responding to Devastating Flooding in Nepal

A catastrophic flash flood struck Nepal, catapulting the region into a major humanitarian crisis. The violent floodwaters swept through entire villages, destroying homes and buildings as people fled for safety. Communities are without health care, clean water or hygiene supplies and some 10,000 households are in need of immediate aid.

Americares is responding. Our team of emergency response experts are in Kathmandu, working to meet the urgent health needs of survivors.

We’re rushing emergency funding to partner organizations on the ground in Nepal and stand ready to provide medicines, relief supplies and other aid to help people who are injured or displaced by this devastating crisis.

Americares has deep experience responding in Nepal. We most recently provided critical aid following a powerful earthquake in 2023 by delivering food, tents, blankets and other relief supplies and aid for survivors.
