Positive Action In Housing Ltd.
Glasgow, ScotlandPositive Action in Housing is an independent, anti-racist homelessness and human rights charity based in Glasgow, working across Scotland (SC027577). We believe everyone deserves a safe home, equal rights, and a life of dignity free from poverty, homelessness, and injustice. Each year, we support thousands of women, men, and children from refugee, migrant, and ethnic minority backgrounds to rebuild their lives and find safety, stability, and independence. We provide direct advice, advocacy, and humanitarian support to help people overcome homelessness, destitution, and discrimination. Through our community-led programmes, we promote inclusion, challenge injustice, and campaign for fair and humane treatment for all who seek safety and a new beginning in Scotland. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve independence by knowing their rights and accessing the support they need, particularly in housing, employment, and legal protections. We work to relieve those in need because of financial hardship or disadvantage, to promote racial harmony, equality, and diversity, and to advance human rights by ensuring everyone has an equal chance to live in safe, good-quality, and affordable homes, free from discrimination or fear of harassment. We believe in a society where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, is treated with fairness, respect, and humanity.
