Throughout the ten years, UNHCR has stayed in Syria the situation, working across conflict lines to provide life-saving support under dangerous circumstances. But limitations in funding andthe COVID-19 pandemic has made the situation even more difficult.
This is a crisis particularly affecting children and youth, with 45% of Syrian refugees who are under 18 years old. They need education, a home, enough to eat. This is the best investment that can be made into the future of Syria.
