Thousands of families in Venezuela are facing unimaginable loss after two powerful earthquakes struck just moments apart on June 24. Homes have collapsed, hospitals have been overwhelmed, and communities already struggling through years of humanitarian crisis are now fighting to survive.
CARE's trusted local partners were among the first to respond. Together, they are providing emergency food, hygiene supplies, health care, protection for women and children, psychosocial support, and emergency shelter to families who have lost everything.
Together, CARE and our local partners aim to reach 50,000 people with lifesaving assistance in the critical days and weeks ahead—but we can't do it without compassionate supporters like you.
Your support will help CARE and our local partners:
• Provide emergency food and clean water
• Deliver hygiene and dignity kits to women and families
• Support overwhelmed health facilities with medicines and essential supplies
• Protect women, girls, and children through safe spaces and psychosocial support
• Help families begin to recover with emergency shelter and household essentials
CARE has worked alongside trusted local organizations in Venezuela since 2018. Because of these long-standing partnerships, assistance is already reaching survivors.
There is also an opportunity to make your generosity go even further. The Government of Canada will match eligible individual donations to CARE Canada's Venezuela Earthquake Response made between June 25 and July 14, 2026, up to a maximum individual donation of $100,000. This means your personal gift could have twice the impact for families affected by this devastating disaster.
