Lemontree connects families in need to the free food in their backyard through a tech-enabled food helpline, personalized food access dashboards, and an online resource directory.
This morning, millions of Americans woke up and went to work with empty stomachs. Kids sat in class, unable to focus. Despite the fact there are more food pantries in the US than McDonald’s, food insecurity isn’t getting better–it’s getting worse.
Last year, 44 million of our neighbors went to bed hungry–a 31% jump from the previous year, and the biggest increase since 2008.
