WCK's Tornado Response in Brazil (Nov. 2025)
de WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN INCORPORATEDIn early November, a tornado hit southern Brazil with wind speeds up to 160 miles per hour killed. At least six people were killed and hundreds injured with many more affected. The tornado caused destruction to homes, infrastructure, and essential services.
The tornado hit the municipality of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu in Paraná, southern Brazil on November 7. Meteorologists classified the tornado as likely an EF3/F3 equivalent event, which is rare in the region. The tornado caused catastrophic damage, destroying 80% of the town’s structures.
