Build a Community Empowerment Centre and Outreach Vehicle to Serve Vulnerable Families in Uganda
de VILLAGE VISION CAREProject Description:
Kind greetings,
My name is Mukwaya Ronnie Remmy, Founder and Volunteer CEO of Village Vision Care (VVC), a registered nonprofit community development organization in Uganda since 2021.
VVC was born from love and legacy, inspired by my late sponsor, Mr. Glenn Flaten, a devoted Rotarian from Ottawa, Canada. His kindness changed my life and inspired me to help others in need. Guided by his example, VVC now serves vulnerable people in rural Uganda with programs that bring hope, education, health, and skills to those often forgotten.
Who We Support:
• Children living with HIV/AIDS
• Children with disabilities
• Orphans and street children
• Youth, single mothers, and elderly people without care
Our Programs:
• Health & WASH: Clean water, hygiene, and basic health care
• Education & Child Support: Helping children stay in school
• Livelihood & Skills Development: Vocational training for youth and mothers
• Environmental Conservation: Promoting tree planting and sustainable living
Project Overview
For six years, VVC has served hundreds of families with limited resources and no permanent home base. We now face two main challenges that limit our work:
1. Lack of a Permanent Office and Training Centre
We currently rent a small, insecure space with rising costs and no stability. With donor support, we plan to acquire a 50ft x 100ft plot and build a modest two-floor community empowerment centre, which will include:
• Administrative offices
• Training & multipurpose hall
• Community library and study space
• Language classrooms (English, French, German)
• Music and creative arts room
• Shared workspace for staff and volunteers
This space will also generate small, sustainable income through affordable training and library access, helping VVC become more self-reliant.
2. Safe and Reliable Transport
Our founder once suffered a serious accident while travelling to remote villages by motorcycle. A Toyota Succeed Hybrid vehicle will provide safe, fuel-efficient, and reliable transport for our outreach work , delivering supplies, monitoring projects, and reaching remote communities that currently remain underserved.
Budget Summary (USD)
Item Cost (USD)
Land Purchase (50ft x 100ft) 14,500
Two-Floor Office Building 142,858
Toyota Succeed Hybrid (including tax & registration) 55,518
Miscellaneous (furniture, solar, plumbing, signage, legal, internet) 8,000
Total Goal: $220,876

Declaration of Honour
I, Mukwaya Ronnie Remmy, Founder and Volunteer Director of Village Vision Care (VVC), a legally registered NGO in Uganda (Reg. No: INDR159625168NB), declare that:
