Volunteers to Assist Children with Disabilities Ltd

Our primary objective:
To establish VACD centres and provide children with disabilities free clinical support, rehabilitation, life skills training, provision of preventative assistance, specialist consultations, engaging with local governments and private sector organisations to source disability services and build stronger networks.

Conducting early intervention programs for preschoolers and providing vocational training to facilitate household economic independence by up-skilling and building strong micro-economies for parents from impoverished households who lack income generating skills.

Conducting awareness programs to build resilient families, educate parents about biological reasons for disabilities, address broader cultural issues to eradicate social disability discrimination, abuse and stigma and generate community advocacy and support.

Approximately 95% of donor funds are deployed directly and indirectly towards disabled children and their families because the charity is administered by a group of unpaid but dedicated volunteers. Administration costs are targeted to remain around a 5% to 10% range per annum.

Our annual audited financial statements that detail income & expenditure under key categories are filed with the Australian Governments oversight authority "Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission "at the end of each financial year. These reports since inception have kept our admin expenses within the specified range.
