On 26 August, a sudden flash flood surged down the Bhote Koshi River from the Tibetan side, devastating communities in Nepal and leaving families without homes, possessions and livelihoods.
Over 150 deaths have been reported, with hundreds of people still missing or unaccounted for, and the full scale of the destruction is yet to be confirmed.
CARE has worked alongside communities and local partners for decades and is coordinating with local partners to prepare lifesaving assistance.
