Chinmaya Mission Vidyalaya is addressing this need by fostering innovative learning experiences through social, cultural and intellectual development of all students within its educational ecosystem.
Chinmaya Mission Vidyalaya is committed to providing students with a purposeful, transformative and rich educational learning experience through its broad network of early childhood, primary and secondary schools. Established in 2003 with a signature campus, today, seven campuses are serving students’ educational needs in communities in Trinidad.
In less than sixteen years, Chinmaya Mission has established a track record in academic excellence. Firmly rooted in a value-based education system and integrating elements of the mainstream curriculum, blended with ancient spirituality, culture and leadership modules, Chinmaya Vidyalaya is advancing high academic achievement and fostering diverse learning opportunities. Chinmaya Vidyalaya has successfully grown and scaled its model of education and presently impacts a total of 780 early childhood, primary and secondary students, and their families in Trinidad and Tobago.
Chinmaya MIssion employs a unique teaching methodology by complementing secular knowledge with cultural values. Our curriculum is fully compliant with the requirements set forth by the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education. Even though we are not funded by the Ministry, we have adapted the Ministry’s High School curriculum and implemented it with the rigor crucial to drive exceptional success. Our students are assessed on the national examinations as set by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) and they are excelling at the highest levels with 100% passes in the exams.
Chinmaya Mission is launching one of its biggest educational milestones in 2019
- the construction of a state-of-the-art 12-acre campus: ‘The Chinmaya Vidyalaya Sant Tulsidas Campus’.
Construction has begun and will be completed over two phases. With a capacity to accommodate 800 full-time secondary school students and powered by a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art modern campus, students will have access to grow and learn academically in innovative spaces equipped with smart technology while enhancing their cultural development, spiritual well-being, real-world experience and leadership capabilities with integrated cultural programming and industry-led training.
